A GALE WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR VAVA'U, HA'APAI, TONGATAPU AND 'EUA LAND AREAS.

A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE NIUAS LAND AREAS.
SITUATION
A Trough lies over the Niuas which is expected to continue moving Eastwards away from the Group by tomorrow morning. Associated clouds, occasional rain with strong to gale force winds will continue to affect the group today and tomorrow.
FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT TOMORROW FOR TONGA
FOR THE NIUAS:
Moderate to Fresh Northwesterly winds, strong at times, then tending West to Southwesterly winds by tomorrow morning and gradually decreasing later in the evening. Cloudy and overcast at times with heavy occasional rain and isolated thunderstorms. Become fine by tomorrow morning to noon.

FOR VAVA'U, HA'APAI, TONGATAPU AND 'EUA:
Moderate to fresh West to Southwesterly winds, strong at times with momentary gusts of gale force winds. The winds is expected to gradually decreasing by tomorrow evening.
Cloudy periods with occasional showers, heavy at times especially over Vava'u and Ha'apai today then become fine by tomorrow with developing scattered showers.
OUTLOOK FOR TUESDAY
FOR ALL OF TONGA:
Light to moderate South to Southwesterly winds.
Mainly fine apart from cloudy periods with scattered showers.

A HEAVY DAMAGING SWELL AND SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAIN IN FORCE FOR ALL OF TONGA COASTAL WATERS.
FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT TOMORROW FOR TONGA COASTAL WATERS
FOR THE NIUAS COASTAL WATERS:
Northwesterly winds 20-25 knots, rising up to 30 knots at times then gradually decrease by tomorrow night to 15-20 knots.
Rough to Very rough seas (4 meter). A heavy damaging Southwesterly swell (Up to 4 meters). Poor visibility in areas of heavy rain.


FOR THE REST OF TONGA'S COASTAL WATERS:
West to Southwesterly winds 20-30 knots, then rising up later this evening with a momentary gust of 35-40 knots. This winds is expected to gradually decreasing by tomorrow night to 20-25 knots.
Rough to Very rough seas (4 to 6 meter). A heavy damaging Southwesterly swell (Up to 4 meters).
OUTLOOK FOR TUESDAY
FOR ALL OF TONGA COASTAL WATERS:
South to Southwesterly winds 15-20 knots, then gradually decrease to 10 knots later in the afternoon.
Moderate to rough seas (up to 2-3 meters). A moderate Southwesterly swell (Up to 3.5 meters).
